Posted on December 11 2017
Pakistani fashion has seen major changes in this century. Not only the colors but also the designs, the material choice and the patterns in our fashion, have seen a total shift over the span of the past few years. Our desi, young generation love diversity and adopting new trends and hence, the highs and lows in our fashion industry!
As the holiday season is almost upon us and the ever-eventful year 2017 is about to say goodbye, I thought it would be a good idea to give you a glimpse of Pakistani Fashion from the start of this year till now!
The most trending pakistani apparels of 2017
Pakistan’s nascent fashion industry got very busy with the arrival of the year 2017 because it meant arrival of fresh colours with unique patterns, designs as well as new attires and latest trends. So, let us hop into the most coveted desi trends of the year that took us by storm.
Glossy Gray and Jamawar Sarees
Gray Sarees embroidered with lush patterns, and paired with gaudy colors like shocking pink and Ruby Green, were favorite amongst all the ladies eager to look regal on their most awaited events and parties.
Jamawar Sarees with heavily embroidered sleeveless blouses also enamoured a large clientele for majority of desi boutiques this year.
Short Jamawar shirts in ostentatious colours paired with a multi-shaded lehengas give an exquisite, classy look to the ladies who wear them. Because of the awe-inspiring looks of this dress, it also remained top trending throughout the year.
Maxi Styles Net Dresses
Every desi girl wants to look ravishing on any event she attends. In order to help our young fashionistas, mark their events with best attires, our designers and boutiques brought out elegant maxi dresses with net sleeves. This dress remained favourite amongst the teenage girls all around the year.
Fancy Frock Dresses
Frock is that dress which keeps coming back in fashion in various new ways and styles. This year too, the boutiques unveiled their most striking frocks with heavy yet elegant embroidery on the neck and the sleeves thus attracting millions of desi trendsetters and fashion lovers.
Longtail Shirts with Lehenga
Longtail shirts give off very powerful vibes and when paired with opulent lehenga or cigarette pants, they transform the entire appearance into the most eclectic one. This being the main reasons that the attire was highly loved and adopted by our ladies throughout the year.
Bell Bottom Trousers paired with Short Cape Shirts
The must-have dress for every bling loving, desi woman is a duo of short cape shirts and Bell bottom trousers. This can be worn either on events or as casual wear depending on the comfort level of the dress.
The most not-so-trendy apparels of 2017
Even though patialia shalwars give off pure desi yet lovely vibes, they aren’t the top trending apparel of this year. With tulips trousers, bell bottom pants and cigarette pants making waves, this good old fashion has been put out of spotlight for this year at least.
A-line Shalwar Kameez
Just hearing the word “A-line” makes us feel so Twenty Fourteen! Even though some designers tried bringing back the A-line shirts and frocks, it still failed to get viral amongst our ladies.
Now that we have discussed some of the famous as well as flop trends of the year, let us jump straight into the various styles of our very beloved apparel i.e Kurtis.
Best Kurtis with different Cuts
In order to make your fashion sense classier and pep, here is a collection of amazing pakistani kurtis in different cuts and designs.
Front Open Slit Mandarin Collar Ankle Length and Knee length Kurta
Open Slit kurtas with collars are way sassier and perfect for that formal look, our desi fashionistas were coveting for so long.
Whether it is knee length kurti or a full length kurti, they are a must have for anyone looking to adopt a modest yet glam look.
3/4th Sleeve A-line kurta
A simple A-line kurta takes away the monotony from a plain old A-line shirt and adds more elegance to it thanks to its easy amalgamation with bright colors and 3/4th sleeves.
Satin Printed Front Slit Full Length Kurta
Full length shirts have been taken over by full length kurtas this year. A lavish cotton satin printed kurta with a front slit, reaching up to the ankles is the most appreciated and modest kurta trend of the year.
So, our creative designers decided to combine the beautiful looks of an anarkali frock with a kurti and it turned out to be absolutely fantastic!
Sleevless Anarkali style kurtis in Georgette, with a front open slit made fashion headline this year due to their subtle yet flowy and elegant look!
Two slit round neck kurtis
A regal kurti, two slits and a very royal color; sounds imperial, right?
Well, that exactly what two slit kurtis are for i.e to make you look like a queen. Indique green kurtis with a slight touch of blue embroidery and some pearl work are bound to elevate your fashion vibes!
Side Slit kurti
This one is for all the daring fashionistas out there. This bold, edgy yet equally classy look is eye catching and a necessary apparel to have in every woman’s wardrobe.
